Our Health Guarantee

At Yorkie Haven, the health and well-being of our puppies always come first. We take every step to ensure your new Yorkie is healthy and happy before joining your family. To give you peace of mind, we provide an industry-leading 2-year health guarantee for every puppy.

Our Health Guarantee Covers:

  • Heart defects (grade 4 or above)

  • Organ dysfunction

  • Untreatable genetic defects

  • Life-threatening conditions

  • Canine Distemper (if reported within 15 days)

  • Canine Coronavirus (if reported within 15 days)

If your puppy develops a covered untreatable or life-threatening condition, or in the unfortunate event of passing due to such a condition, we require a licensed veterinarian’s exam results and supporting medical documents. We will work with you to provide a replacement puppy or refund, depending on the situation.

What Our Guarantee Does Not Cover

We do not cover treatable or common puppy conditions, such as:

  • Luxating patella

  • Hernias

  • Open fontanel

  • Parasites (common in all puppies and easily treatable)

  • Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar, which can be prevented with proper feeding and care)

We encourage all families to feed and care for their puppy properly to help prevent these issues.

Nose-to-Tail Health Check

Every Yorkie puppy from Yorkie Haven undergoes a 30-point vet exam before going to their new home. This includes:

  • Ears, eyes, mouth, teeth, and gums

  • Respiratory and cardiovascular systems

  • Musculoskeletal system

  • Skin and coat

  • Gastrointestinal system

  • External genitalia

Each puppy is vet-checked, vaccinated, and dewormed, and comes with a Veterinary Health Report for your peace of mind.

After Your Puppy Arrives

  • You must take your Yorkie to a licensed veterinarian within 3 business days of arrival to confirm its health and activate the guarantee.

  • Please do not give vaccinations within the first 10 days after arrival, as your puppy will already be up to date.

  • Ongoing care, including regular vet visits, deworming, and vaccinations, is required to keep your puppy healthy.

While we can’t promise that your Yorkie will never face a health challenge, we do guarantee that we will always do our best to ensure your new family member is healthy, happy, and ready to live a long life with you.
